The Oxfordshire Befriending Network

Supporting people with life-threatening or terminal illnesses

The Oxfordshire Befriending Network provides befriending and counselling services to people with life threatening illnesses and terminal diagnosis.  Our services are available across the whole of Oxfordshire. All our services are free.

Our vision is that anyone in Oxfordshire who has a life threatening illness or is terminally ill has access to our services to support and empower them.  Our vision is that our services are culturally appropriate and needs led.  We are committed to working with and providing services for people from the widest possible diversity and background of culture and experience.

Our befriending services are provided by fully trained and supported volunteers.

Our counselling services are provided by either by qualified counsellors or those who are in training.  They work with supervisors who are registered and working within the Codes of Ethics and Practice of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

On this site you can find out more about us, our work, our trustees and our volunteers as well as ways in which you can get involved. We also advertise our job opportunities on this site
